A Gilt Brass Mounted Two-Handled Coromandel Tantalus, Late 19th Century, fitted with three hob-nail cut glass spirit decanters, with silver wine labels for Whisky, Gin, and Brandy, 13ins x 9ins x 10.5ins high External - back part of lifting cover with circa 6.75ins horizontal shrinkage crack. Top of cover to back right corner shows small area of fill. All gilt metal fittings are present. Key is present. Internally - the holders for glasses have been removed and glasses are absent. Three original glass decanters are present. Two stoppers can be removed, one cannot. Those that can be removed show very slight chipping to their lower part. Bases to all decanters show some scattered small chips. The neck to one of the decanters is badly chipped. All silver labels appear to be in good condition with no obvious damage/loss/restoration.We are unable to offer in-house shipping for this lot. Three George V Silver and Blue Enamel Dressing Table Items and Three Other Pieces, the three items by Charles and Richard Comyns London 1925, with pale blue guilloche enamel lids or backs, comprising - oval box with cloth lined interior and on twin wing and paw feet, 7.75ins x 6ins x 3.125ins high, a silver and enamel topped hob-nail cut glass jar, 5ins high overall, and a silver and enamel backed hand mirror, a pair of George VI silver and blue enamel backed clothes brushes, London 1946, and one other silver backed hand mirror Oval box - one very small imperfection on lid at one o'clock. Light surface scratches around the border. Hallmarks well struck on the gilded inner rim, and partial marks on the back exterior rim of the lid - these are rubbed. Cloth lined interior is faded and dirty. Scuffs to the exterior covered base.Hob-nail cut glass jar - 6mm scratch to the lid. Two dents to the inner rim of lid. Hallmarks well struck, with the exception of the makers mark, on this inner rim. A few small flake chips to the hobnail cutting.Hand mirror - scattered minor surface scratches to the silver rim. Hallmarks well struck on the rim. Very minor scattered scratches to the enamel. Pair of clothes brushes - one has a large surface chip to the enamel at one end - measures approx 10mm x 4mm - and a minor dent to silver rim. The other has a tiny bruise to the enamel at one end. Hallmarks on both rims are very rubbed.Silver backed hand mirror - several small scattered dents and surface scratches. Hallmarks are a bit rubbed.

Mike Wilks (b.1947) City Jungle Initialled and dated (19)80, gouache, 47.5cm by 30cm Mike Wilks was born in London and studied at a junior art school before attending Croydon College of Art. After working as a graphic designer for several years he founded his own design company, which flourished and later allowed him to resign and concentrate on painting and drawing. After publishing a number of best-selling books, Wilks became the focus on an award-winning BBC arts documentary Mike Wilks - Making His Mark. Since then, he has continued to write, paint and draw, and his works can be found in public and private collections in the UK, Europe and the USA. Some general light dirt and debris beneath glass. Some very light time staining to sheet most evident around the edges of the sheet and the edges of the cut out sillouette of the skyline, but the work is executed on a cream medium. The odd tiny faint spot in the background. The cut out area has raised slightly, but this is possibly by design. In a generally good and bright overall state of preservation. Not examined out of the frame.
