A George V cut glass hallmarked silver and pink guilloche enamel decorated toilet jar (af), a cut glass silver mounted hair tidy and three glass and silver mounted further toilet jars (5). CONDITION REPORT: The guilloche enamel pot has chips to the border and two fine hairline cracks, heavy wear to the further silver topped items.
A pair of late Victorian hobnail cut glass globular scent bottles with hallmarked silver caps, Chester 1898 and a large hobnail and cut glass silver mounted scent bottle, Birmingham 1903. CONDITION REPORT: The lid of the large scent bottle is pierced through over cleaning on the raised points and does not close tightly. slight dents and dings throughout, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A George IV rosewood brass inlaid travelling box, the hinged lid opening to reveal a fitted interior of cut glass and silver mounted jars, each mount with band of engraved decoration within a raised foliate border including travelling inkwell, three jars with pierced lids, five larger and two smaller jars, also an incomplete manicure set, the box with Bramah locks, recessed brass carrying handles and "secret" drawer to the side, all mounts hallmarked for London 1829. CONDITION REPORT: THe box itself is in fairly tired condition, the lid is split. There are raised areas to the brassware, some sections missing. Secret drawer is very stiff and has flakes to the veneer. Case itself shows signs of considerable wear. Silver mounts are in good condition. The long thin toilet jar has a chip to the base and there are very minor chips to a couple of the other jars, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
