WWII Second World War interest - A cut glass inkwell, with badge to the top for Air Raid Precautions at Armstrong Siddeley Motors Ltd. The brass lift-up lid featuring an enamel ARP badge. Measures approx; 6cm tall. Likely a fantasy item. Armstrong Siddeley was a British engineering group that operated during the first half of the 20th century. It was formed in 1919 and is best known for the production of luxury vehicles and aircraft engines.

Lot 5011

A George III Hepplewhite flame mahogany gentleman's dressing chest. The rectangular double-hinged divided top enclosing the central sliding mechanism for a former mirror, over an open well compartment, nine further lidded compartments with ivory turned handles, two at the front with the original tin basins, the remainder containing six original shoulder cut glass bottles and stoppers (undamaged), with a further fitted interior of pen rests, pincushion and open compartments. The chest with three dummy drawers and one central basin drawer flanked by four short drawers on square tapering legs with brass caps and castors. With working key.Height 73cm Width 81 cm Depth 52.5 cm.
