A suite of J & L Lobmeyr drinking glasses, no.97 circa 1870 of vertical faceted panel form with cut ridged decoration, comprising ten small wine or port glasses, 14.5cm high; eight wine glasses, 15cm high; eight short-stemmed water glasses, 12cm high; thirteen short-stemmed glasses, 16cm high; a decanter and stopper and two decanters without stoppers, 24cm high; two further decanters without stoppers, 16.5cm high and a water jug, 26cm high (46 pieces, including stopper) *Believed to have been acquired as a gift by the vendor's grandparents at the time of their marriage in Vienna in 1902. Sold together with a copy of an original purchase receipt illustrating the pattern, 'Trink-Service No. 97' and the company logo.Condition report:Three small wine/port with reduced rims. 1 wine with reduced foot and rim. 2 further wines with reduced feet.Three short-stemmed glasses with reduced rims. 1 tall beer glass with reduced foot. 2 tall beer glass with medium size foot rim chips.Small section of damage and repair to lower section of the smallest carafe.1 small beer/water glass with reduced foot, another three with reduced rims.Some tiny nibbles to the lower section of the decanters with stopper and carafes/decanters without stoppers, otherwise good. There is also some slight mossing around the neck area.The water jug has some small nibbles around lower body. Elsewhere, a couple of pieces with tiny nibbles and signs of use commensurate with age.
An Edward VII silver desk stand, of rectangular form with a pierced gallery and single pen recess, flanked by two cut glass ink wells with silver mounts and hinged lids, (one AF), engraved to tray Folkestone Poor Children's Fund, presented to J.M. Linom Esquire by members of the Committee in recognition of his services as Hon. Treasurer of the Fund 1905-1910, February 11th 1910, with a list of prominent members of the Committee also engraved, raised on four scroll supports and paw feet, Sheffield 1908, weighable silver 14oz, 26cm x 17cm.

BARNARD OF NEWARK; an 18th century oak cased thirty hour longcase clock, the hood with blind fret decoration, housing the brass dial with applied chapter ring bearing Roman numerals, with subsidiary half moon dial, in oak rectangular case, height 197cm, width 39cm, depth 24cm.Additional InformationLosses to the blind fret decoration to the hood, also losses to the edge, the glass on the door has been repaired, complete with pendulum and weight, the case looks to have been cut down.
A late 19th century carved oak tantalus, with silver plated mounts, housing three hobnail cut glass decanters with mirrored back, the two hinged doors enclosing three matched glasses and later playing cards, also five assorted decanter labels including a hallmarked silver example.Additional InformationThe tantalus is not marked ‘Betjeman’. All of the stoppers with some nibbles at the edges. All of the decanters with some polishing at rims and other nibbles and small chips to the cut detailing.

The quality really is exceptional and currently running. Circa 1910.
