The hinged cover further part marked. There is some minor surface scratching and wear overall. There are some chips to the glass bottle. The internal liner is lacking. The inscription reads 'Presented to W Appleby by the Member of the Harwich Licensed Victuallers Association as a Slight Recognition of his Valuable and Many Services as Sec'y and Representative Jan'y 8th 1902'.

the emerald-cut peridot in a yellow rubbed over setting within an openwork frame, suspending a circular mother-of-pearl plaque; the round cut peridot in a yellow rubbed over setting, flanked by leaf motifs and suspending a smaller round cut peridot (a.f.); and a glass locket compartment within a border of rose cut garnetslengths 5.0cm, 3.9cm and 3.2cm respectivelyCondition report: The pieces are in poor to fair condition. The pendant is stamped '15CT' and in our opinion would test as gold. The brooch is lacking its pin and is hallmarked for 9 carat gold but the marks are rubbed. The locket is indistinctly stamped to the loop and there are chips throughout, the garnets are closed set. Gross weight 14.0 grams. CR made 30.11.21.
