All three were hanging and working in the vendors home until removed for sale.
An Edwardian oak decanter box with dovetailed joints and recessed brass carrying handles with front arm releasing the hinged lid and revealing two cut glass decanters, the lock plate with patent details, height 27.5cm, width 23cm.Additional InformationBoth decanters are free from major damage, stoppers have not been ground, there are just a few minor imperfections and tiny chips to the edges of the stoppers and likewise to where the bottles are, but they fit well within the cabinet. The bracket arm at the front of the cabinet is rather cumbersome and maybe this has been replaced, perhaps it should simply have been a key. The case has general surface wear throughout. This is not marked Betjeman.

A Victorian 15ct gold garnet and split pearl ring, a central row of circular gems with a row of split pearls above and below, to scrolling gallery with applied bead detail, a flat cut garnet to each shoulder, with tapered hand engraved shank, Birmingham 1870, 2.78g.Finger size N (approximately) Condition report: One gemstone from central row and one split pearl deficient.Remaining gemstones in central row very abraded, precludes accurate reading of refractive index. Wear to split pearls.Shank and engraving to shank in good condition.Some wear to head and collets.Slight pitting to underside of head and inside of shank, possibly due to gilding. Garnets on shoulder are possibly garnet-and-glass doublets. Settings preclude accurate testing.
