A SILVER PLATED TWO BOTTLE STAND, with rope work detail having central loop handle fitted with brown blown glass jugs with silver plated mounts and corks. Together with a silver plated condiment stand of circular bellied form with central loop handle and four cut glass bottles, and a silver plated sugar basket with scalloped rim and beaded handle, the main body decorated with pierced palmettes and having griffon legs, by W. WH&Co. Height 12.5", 11" and 3.75" AF. (3)
[FRICK WILHELM]: (1876-1946) Nazi official, Minister of the Interior of the Third Reich, later executed for war crimes. A large, handsome ashtray previously belonging to Frick, the 7.5” diameter ashtray of a heavy cut glass design with a thick silver band around the upper rim. The silver band is engraved Dr Wilhelm Frick/Margarete Frick/Weihnachten 1935 and bears a hallmark numbered 835. Previously sold at auction by Charles Hamilton (Lot 154, Auction 123, 18th October 1979) and kept in a private collection until now. Some very light age wear and evidence of use, VG
