A fine quality 19th century inlaid rosewood writing slope the brass bound slope banded in tulipwood and with a marquetry inlaid geometric motif to the lid, the sides with rebated brass handles, one side with a concealed drawer, the interior with two cut glass inkwells and a drop-down stationary file to the lid with applied toothed border and centred by an inlaid initialled tablet, the slope veneered with a marquetry panel and cross banded in satinwood, opening to reveal a blue velvet writing surface and inlaid Greek key border, 18 x 10in. (45.5 x 25,5cm.), 8½in. (21.5cm.) high.
