Numbered 12265. Stopper associated. Hinge in good order and cap closes tightly. In generally good condition commensurate with age and use.
AN EDWARDIAN SILVER-MOUNTED DECANTER, by John Grinsell & Sons, Birmingham 1903, the shouldered ovoid glass body cut and frosted in the Art Nouveau taste with stylised plantlife, the stopper similarly decorated. 30cm highCONDITION REPORTMarks are clear. The glass is excellent and in good order. The tip of the stopper is rough to the touch but we believe manufacturing rather damage. The shoulder of the stopper has a crimped edge which is a nice subtle feature. In generally good condition.
A LARGE VICTORIAN SILVER-MOUNTED CUT-GLASS SCENT BOTTLE, by William Comyns & Sons, London 1891, of square-section, the hinged and domed cover embossed with Classical figures, further chased with scrolls and flowerheads, each side of the bottle with star-cut motif framed by C-scrolls. 13cm highCONDITION REPORTMarked well. Stopper original but chipped. Lid does not fasten down.
