LtdOf oval form, with cast rim centred with a taper stick flanked by silver topped cut glass inkwells and standing on claw and ball feet with engraved scroll and floral decoration enclosing a pair of cartouches inscribed To The Royal Aeronautical Society and in grateful appreciation of 2 years hospitality 1944-46 from The Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators of the British Empire. 33.5 cm wide. Provenance: The Royal Aeronautical Society, Hamilton Place, London. CONDITION REPORTS: Generally good condition, expected wear, taper stick slightly misshapen, various minor dints and bruises, one inkwell lacking cover, some minor nibbles to glass, approximately 897 grammes of weighable silver.
