Of Royal Interest, a glass claret jug: engraved with the Royal arms of George Prince of Wales the Prince Regent (later George IV) and beneath the handle a simple royal cypher amongst profuse fruiting vine above a basal diamond cut band, the handle with further fruiting vine, signed in the centre of the armorial device and under the base 'Lee', 24cm high, circa 1801-20. *Note Illustrated. The Book of Wine Antiques, Robin Butler p.149 and Great British Wine Accessories 1550-1900, Robin Butler p.158, The latter suggests that the engraver is one of two J. Lees listed at Half Moon Street, Bishopsgate, London.McConnell, A. The Decanter. Plate 379, p.268, and described as 'one of the finest examples of contemporary engraving'.
Vintage costume jewellery including Bakelite, glass bangles, silver cameo ring and two antique gold ringsCondition report: Mourning ring has a cut shank and stones missing and chipped around the glazed locket compartment, unmarked and weighs approximately 2.8g. Other antique gold ring is also unmarked, set with three rubies - the centre stone does not fit the mount properly. Weight approximately 1.1g. The cameo oval pendant has cracks and damage to the brown background but the side profile itself is in good condition. The glass bangles are in overall good condition.
