Waterford crystal, The Millennium Collection, five pairs of cut glass toasting flutes, each in original presentation box. CONDITION REPORT: All glasses are in good order and free from any obvious chips, cracks or scratches. Each pair of glasses comes with its relevant packing box most of which are a little tired with some knocks due to storage but all complete.
Two cut glass table lamps, each with shade, tallest 36 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The smaller of the two lamps appears to be in good order throughout with no obvious chips, cracks or flaws. On the centre of the shade there is a 5 cm diameter circle of crazed glass. It is difficult to determine how this appeared and one can only assume that it is a reaction to the heat of the lamp. The taller of the two lamps appears to be free from any chips, cracks or repairs. Overall both in good condition.
A George III glass vase, circa 1780, of tumbler form with wheel cut edge decorations, a bird upon a pedestal within a star shaped border, floral sprig verso, and a pair of Georgian wine glasses, each with wheel cut undulating pendant decoration upon a square foot, 14 cm and 13 cm respectively. CONDITION REPORT: The vase appears to be in good condition throughout with no chips, cracks, losses or restorations. The glassware is all clear and there are no signs of clouding. The first glass underside shows a small chip to one corner and two small nibbles on opposing corners. One wine glass has minute nibbling to one corner of the foot rim but the bowl appears to be free from any issues. Its partner glass again has small tiny nibbles on three sides of the foot rim. On the underside three corners have very tiny nibbles. The bowl is in good order throughout with no obvious faults.
A 19th century mahogany teapoy, the top hinging to four lidded compartments, two glass bowls and raised on a turned stem with quatreform base and bun feet. Width 43 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The glass bowls are both in very good order with no issues. They are not original. Diameter 11.8 cm, height approximately 5.8 cm. The teapoy is in generally good original unrestored condition. The top is flat with no cracks. The lower step to the top has a small stress fracture to the veneers on the front edge. The front right-hand corner of the cornice moulding has a loss. The left-hand return has a small repair. The hinges are original and sound. The underside edge of the lid has a full width stress fracture to the veneers. All interior boxes are in basically good order as are the hinges. The lead linings are all perished. The lock is present. We have the key but it does not seem to operate. The frieze beneath the top and the moulding also are in good order all round. The centre column is in good order. The ring turned moulding at the bottom of the column has a crack and it is slightly loose. The quatreform base has some stress fractures to the veneers and dents to the corners with small veneer losses. The bun feet are original as are the castors which are present. We can see no evidence of any woodworm. The bowls do not fit particularly well. The aperture beneath is larger than the base of the bowl. Both bowls have ground pontil marks and are cut glass. We are not sure what they will have originally been for. They do not look like dessert dishes and in our opinion the internal aperture is a little small for mixing. Judging by the ground pontil mark they are probably late Victorian but it is very difficult to tell.
