FOREIGN COINS, Switzerland, Jean Henri Dunant (1828-1910), the Centenary of the foundation of the Red Cross, Gold Medal (1963), bust of Dunant right, rev Swiss shield (Red Cross), 50.06g, 38mm, numbered 501 on edge. Virtually mint state. Dunant’s dream of the Red Cross was “To render great services by their permanent existence during periods of epidemics, floods, great fires, and other unforeseen disasters; the philanthropic spirit which brought them into being would prompt them to action in all circumstances where they could be of service”.

The later 8" silvered dial, with silvered spirit level dial to the base, engraved 'A Martinelli 18 Barrett St Lambeth'. 96cm long.
A Regency ebony and box strung figured mahogany mercury wheel barometer with 8in star centre engraved circular silvered register beneath convex mirror arched alcohol thermometer and damp/dry scale with swan neck pediment and spirit level signed ‘Luppi & Solcha Hull Warrented’ to base 98cm high.
