After Charles Robinson Sykes: a Rolls Royce Phantom 'Spirit of Ecstasy' car radiator mascot, circa 1929, solid nickel, indistinctly inscribed to base R R Ltd, cast marks under wings 'Trade Mark Reg, Reg US Pat Off', figure 13cms high, on radiator cap plinth and turned mahogany box base, 18cms high overall. Note: The majority of Phantom I mascots are marked Rolls-Royce Ltd Feb 6 1911, but in 1929 when the Phantom II was introduced the shape of the base, on all mascots, and the lettering around it changed to R R Ltd 6-2-11.
