A D.R. Mercer live steam Traction Engine. A very well constructed, unsteamed example of this popular spirit fired single cylinder model Road Locomotive. Fitted with slide valve, Stephenson's value gear, pressure gauge, upgraded flywheel, etc. Finished in dark green with Forest Classics specification sheet and instruction booklet for assembling and running the model. Other parts include; canopy, spirit burner, buckets, funnel for filling reservoir, original flywheel and many other small parts and accessories. Traction Engine approx 300mm in overall length. With original box. VGC, the model appears to require minor finishing in order to run. £200-300
Gerald Harper signed 7x5 black and white photo. Gerald Harper (born 15 February 1931) is an English actor, best known for his work on television, having played the title roles in Adam Adamant Lives! (1966-67) and Hadleigh (1969-76). He then returned to his main love, the theatre. His classical work includes playing on Broadway with the Old Vic company, playing Iago at the Bristol Old Vic and Benedick at the Chichester Festival Theatre. Other plays in London included Crucifer of Blood at the Haymarket Theatre, House Guest, A Personal Affair, Suddenly at Home and Baggage. He has directed many plays, amongst them a production of Blithe Spirit in Hebrew at the Israeli National Theatre. Good condition. All autographs come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
