A Scratchbuilt Gauge I Live Steam Spirit-fired Freelance 4-6-0 Locomotive and Tender ‘Lady Winifred’, to designs by H S Bond and dated 1925, various details resembling the SR ‘King Arthur’ class, the model featuring twin cylinders, lever-reversing, whistle, regulator, pressure and water gauges, displacement lubricator, hand pump and spirit tank to tender, with etched nameplates and no 2 to cabsides, made to a very high standard and painted in green with no 1928 to tender (possibly the year of completion), together with a framed detail of Bassett-Lowke design standards, a glass plate negative showing this and other models on display, a display case, and a quantity of home-made brass track apparently used to operate the model (box with 4 items, display case + track)

ADAM & EVE; a rare specially produced and authorised exact facsimile of the original sculpture by Charles Sykes who created and designed the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy mascot in 1910 and which was trademark registered for use on Rolls-Royce cars from 6th February 1911. This statue is one of four exact facsimiles being part of a collection from Palace House, the Hampshire home of the late Lord Montagu of Beaulieu. They were authorised by Lord Montagu to be produced in limited numbers by Heredities Ltd of Westmorland, the other three items in the collection were the Spirit of Ecstasy (or Flying Lady), The Whisper and St Christopher. Each piece was mounted on a block of rare Orton Scar marble with green glaze to base. The incised name of Adam & Eve and the signature of Charles Sykes can be seen on the side of the figure, height 34.5cm, approx 2.6kg (af). CONDITION REPORT: This item is made from resin, it has been broken off, or at least severely damaged, at feet and crudely reglued.

CONDITION REPORT: All components in play worn condition with surface wear to painted decoration commensurate with age, box generally frayed but Mamod label remains relatively intact with minor marks etc.

Two Early 20th Century Sepik River Spirit/Ancestor Figures, Papua New Guinea, each of light hardwood, standing wearing a high headdress, with hooked beak shape nose, on cylindrical plinth, the smaller figure bearing traces of red pigment, 35.5cm and 21cm **Provenance:- collected in the mid 1920's by a Manchester civic dignitary whilst travelling in Papua New GuineaTaller figure - the headdress is split and has a knock to one of its extremities, otherwise in good condition. Smaller figure - has a small chip to one of the extremities of the headdress, otherwise in good condition.
Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit (Stealth Bomber) Interest: a collection of items pertaining to the career of Flying Officer William McGuffie, R.A.F., comprising two Oerlinghausen R.A.F. Gliding Club wood trophies, one as a cigarette box, surmounted by a model of a Horten Brothers Flying Wing glider, the rectangular base inscribed and dated, ''W. MacG. 1946'', the other, surmounted by two model gliders, and a collection of photographs and ephemera pertaining to the recipient Note: The Horten Brothers, both members of the Luftwaffe during the Second World War, designed a revolutionary series of aircraft for the Third Reich based on the Flying Wing concept. Some of these aircraft were based at Oerlinghausen. At the conclusion of the war, one prototype example, the jet-propelled Ho 229 V3, attracted particular interest from the Allied forces, its construction properties allegedly rendering it invisible to radar. The original aircraft was shipped to America where it formed the basis of research, culminating in the design of the Northrop Grumman B-2 SpiritAll items in good condition
