Fiora, Nottingham, early 19th century, with 10 inch circular silvered register calibrated in inches and with the usual observations beneath arched Fahrenheit scale alcohol thermometer and hygrometer to the swan neck pediment, the rounded base with spirit level signed J FIORA, NOTTINGHAM, 99cm high excluding brass finial.
A 19th century Mahogany Apothecary Chest. The box`s exterior having military style corners and handles brass escutcheon and ring handles. The red velvet lined lid revealing 17 bottle compartments, 16 of which still present including `Camphor Spirit` and Best Bark Powder. Also with a tile on which to chop the contents. The first drawer down has 10 compartments, 6 containing tins of `Sulphur` etc., large rear compartment of Ginger, two others one with velvet lined tray. The lower larger drawer having 18 compartments, 6 with bottles, two with camphor, long central pull-out section with balance scales and beneath it recipes, in the front sections are weights, 3 jars, an administration tube etc. 14`` wide x 11`` high x 9`` deep.
