Holmes:A collection of space related items, including a Neil Armstrong signature, written on a program for 'Spirit of St Louis' inner May 20th 1977, reads To Donald Holmes above signature and dated 5/20/77, glazed and framed, 34 by 28cm, as well as other space related signatures including astronaut Walt Cunningham and John Glenn, a signature which likely belongs to Richard Truly, another signature likely by Guion Bluford, and a possible signature by President Gerald Ford, together with a selection of space themed stamps and ephemera, such as two unopened unfranked envelopes sent from Norfolk VA Naval Air Station on 26th May 1969, the backs with original stamped seal 'Manned Spacecraft Recovery Force, Atlantic TF-140, Apollo 10', various space themed stamps within three albums, and a selection of mostly hardback books on space. A silver cigarette lighter, hallmarks for Birmingham 1922 B & C, of engine turned design, 4.5 x 3cm, together with a Tiffany & Co silver spirit label for 'Brandy', a silver whisky cork bottle stopper and a silver and mother of pearl fruit knife (4) CONDITION REPORT: Lot 65 - lighter has small dents/scratches allover especially around wheel to base, no engravings, all external parts appear to be present, unsure if in working order, with original cloth case. The X date letter definitely looks the stamp of 1922, however it could be 1947 which has a similar stamp, but I personally think the base curve looks more like 1922.
