Chassis Number : AR 1251906 Engine Number : AR 00512 95165 Odometer reading : 28,913 km Estimate : £22,000 - £27,000 The Alfa Romeo Gran Turismo Allegerita (GTA) was the competition version of the popular 105 series, Bertoné, Giulia coupé. First seen in 1965 in 1600 (1570cc) form, it was also later produced as a 1300 Junior version. We are pleased to offer today this 1970, step front (scalino) 1300 GT Junior that has been built to represent the spirit of the GTA Juniors of the period. Mechanically the car has been upgraded and fitted with a standard 2.0 litre engine giving this Evocazioné superior power and torque over the original 1300cc unit. In addition, rebuilt twin Dell'Orto carburettors, with angled ram pipes, supply the fuel. A standard five-speed gearbox with drive provided through a 1750 Berlina differential having ratios that compensate for the larger engine. The braking system has been overhauled and includes four new callipers. Eibach springs and Koni Sport, adjustable shock absorbers on all four corners provide the handling dynamics. The coachwork has also been modified to give the GTA silhouette with the addition of the wide body GTA wings and the paint is finished in the classic Alfa Romeo Rosso. Further details add to the spirit; namely the addition of the GTA replica grill and gold, Alfaholics supplied, 15x8 inch replica GTA alloy wheels with new Toyo Proxes TR 225/50/R15 tyres. The interior exudes the air of a period car; the GTA headlining, Momo dished steering wheel, the rare, original, factory leather flying buttress seats and, of course, the smell. A file includes many invoices from the UK's leading Alfa Romeo 105 series specialists, Alfaholics, Classic Alfa and the Highwood Motor Company. On a recent test, this Alfa Romeo Junior drove very well displaying excellent handling characteristics and power delivery. The history file includes a letter from the Alfa Romeo Owner's Club (AROC) 105 Registrar, Stuart Taylor, confirming that the chassis number relates to the car's manufacture on 15th May 1970 and sold in Civitella del Tronto on 30th May 1970; the car still sitting with its original Italian plates and documentation today. We are informed by the vendor that these will be retained as the car will be required to be de-registered in Italy (copies will be supplied to the new owner); unless, of course, the lucky new owner is an Italian resident. A NOVA certificate and recent MoT test certificate also accompanies the car and, complete with the AROC verification letter, means that the Junior may easily be registered. With prices of step fronted Bertoné coupés rising rapidly, we feel that this example offers the benefits of great value and great fun.

Lot 192

Registration : A202UYU Chassis Number : SCAZS0001ECH09201 Engine Number : 09201 Odometer reading : 61,000 miles Estimate : £4,500 - £6,000 The Silver Spirit was unveiled in October 1980 as a replacement for the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. Direct comparison, however, showed only small differences. The new models had slightly grown in length and width; height had been cut a little, although the styling was more modern than that of its predecessor. The interior was dominated by the expected combination of fine wood and sumptuous leather. The Silver Spirit was similar mechanically to the Silver Shadow, benefiting from the superb Rolls-Royce 6,750cc, V8 and sharing many mechanical characteristics of the model it replaced. The instruments were supplemented by digital units which gave such information as the time, elapsed driving time and external temperature and were the first Rolls-Royce to be fitted with a retractable Spirit of Ecstasy. Registered on 1st June 1984, this Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit is finished in Claret with tan leather interior. The car is described as being in good all-round condition and is sold with a V5 registration document and a current MoT test certificate. Is there better value for money than a Silver Spirit in terms of grace, style and presence?

Lot 257

Registration : LF54 ETY Chassis Number : SCBLF34F15CH10516 Engine Number : E1197/27009510 Odometer reading : 48,000 miles Estimate : £28,000 - £35,000 Not only is the Arnage T more expensive and more powerful than its predecessor, the Arnage Green and Red Label models, but it also claimed the title of world's fastest saloon, as it needs all but the last two spots on its 170mph speedometer. The Arnage T is powered by yet another version of 'ye olde' 6.75 litre Rolls-Royce, V8 engine whose roots go back to 1959. Treated to what Bentley described as 'the most thorough re-engineering of its life', the 2007 model year cars produced a staggering 500bhp. This prodigious output, besides enabling this Bentley to reach 168mph, also sent it from 0 to 60mph in 5.2 seconds; the engine's most significant change being the switch from a single turbocharger to one for each bank of cylinders. Other changes included the adoption of a 'drive-by-wire' throttle to go hand-in-glove with Bosch's Electronic Stability Program which replaced the Red Label's traction control, but what really gives this nearly three-ton car its immense poise is a revised suspension that features 57 percent more roll stiffness than the Red Label. The car's basic structure is also 10% stiffer which means there are no creaks and squeaks of the sort that distinguished previous generations of Bentleys. This stunning example of the Mulliner specification Arnage T presents in Tungsten Grey with a black diamond stitched Mulliner leather interior with additional 'Flying B's embossed on the seat backs. The dashboard and waist rails have a 'turned alluminium' effect and the alluminium accelerator and brake pedals are drilled. The colour-coded split-rims are unmarked, privacy glass is fitted and detail even extends to two Bentley umbrellas fitted to the luggage compartment. Also included is a full Bentley service history in both London and Glasgow. Supplied with a full complement of owners books, service history and 'Tracker' information as well as both sets of keys, this epitome of the spirit of Bentley is competitively priced and a joy to use.

Lot 275

Registration : RYN 631Y Chassis Number : SCAZS0008DCH06892 Engine Number : 06892 Odometer reading : 143,560 miles Estimate : No Reserve The Silver Spirit was unveiled in October 1980 as a replacement for the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow. This example offered in Light Ocean Blue with dark blue leather hide was first registered in November 1982, a lovely example that has had a newly rebuilt gearbox and a wealth of recent works which should inspire confidence in any new prospective owner, coupled with an MoT test certificate valid until May 2016. An upgraded stereo is also included, as are previous MoT certificates and a V5 registration document. With such a well cared for example, offered without reserve, this is an ideal route into luxury Rolls-Royce ownership.
