A Black Forest carved wood figure of a St. Bernard dog, late 19th century, modelled with its front paw raised and wearing a spirit barrel around its neck, with inset glass eyes, on rectangular base with canted corners. Height 15.3 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a tiny nick to the right edge rim of the barrel but this has been done for sometime as it has been polished over with age. There is a tiny nick to the left hand edge of the base however none of the faults mentioned are in any way in my opinion detrimental to the overall look or appeal of the item. There are no obvious or visible cracks, splits or any form of restoration.

There is a centre-fold of Burne-Jones' King Arthur in Avalon. The articles include Drink and the War, The Re-Marriage of Matter and Spirit, and India After the War etc. Some severe damage to spine on earlier edition.

A lacquered trefoil decanter stand, 19th century, with brass mounts and supports housing three spirit decanters with silver whisky labels. Overall height 26 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The three glass decanters are all in good order with no obvious faults. The metalware to the decanter stand may have previously been silver plated but is now brass and tarnished. The three ball feet may be later replacements and are not brass. There are very minor surface splits to the top lacquer and the edges may have been re-lacquered at some point but not recently.
