A pair of 19th Century Bohemian spirit flasks of footed compressed globe and shaft form with applied loop handles and pewter mounts, hand enamelled with an armourial crest over green ground, height 19 cm, together with eight small loop handle shot glasses, a later flared ale glass with applied prunt decoration and a similar smaller example.
A late 19th Century novelty spirit flask by Thomas Webb & Sons attributed to designs by Dr Christopher Dresser modelled in the form of a mythical beast. The compressed ovoid body with scroll tail, applied feet and stylised wings with a spherical head, collar nose and domed cover. The whole hand enamelled and gilded with foliate scrolls, length 26 cm, height 17 ccm complete with a series of page scans showing the original designs from the pattern books. Restored. ILLUSTRATED
