Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965) gold commemorative medal, obverse Sir Winston during WWII, reverse showing spirit of England with legend "Very Well, Alone", 40mm diameter, approx. 48g, extremely fine, cased with certificate, 384/1000 Struck to commemorate the death of Churchill in 1965, the reverse was adapted from the famous cartoon by Sir David Low, published in the Evening Standard in 1940, after the retreat from Dunkirk. § Christopher Clairmonte (British, 1932-2012) Ely Cathedral panorama signed lower right "Christopher Clairmonte '57" oil on board 117 x 239cm (46 x 93in) Other Notes: Christopher Clairmonte produced powerful landscape paintings, still lifes and portraits, as well as skilful pen and ink drawings, belonging to a peculiarly English tradition of artists, pursuing a devotion to topography and the unique spirit of particular places. He never worked from photographs but was passionate about keeping a sketch book, drawing compulsively wherever he found himself. After King’s College School, Wimbledon (alma mater of Walter Sickert), he went on to Wimbledon School of Art, from where he won a scholarship to the Royal College of Art A little dirty. Tiny split to the board on the right-hand side.

Lou Diamond Phillips signed 10 x 8 colour photo from La Bamba. American actor and director. His breakthrough came when he starred as Ritchie Valens in the biographical drama film La Bamba 1987. For portraying Angel Guzman in Stand and Deliver 1988, Phillips was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and won an Independent Spirit Award. He made his Broadway debut with the 1996 revival of The King and I, earning a Tony Award nomination for his portrayal of King Mongkut of Siam. Good condition. A plated five piece tea and coffee set, comprising; a spirit kettle with a stand, having a spirit burner, a teapot, a coffee pot, a twin handled lidded sugar bowl and a milk jug, each piece of baluster form, with scrolled panels and raised on four feet, the coffee pot having a differing finial to the hinged lid.
Plated wares, comprising; a large oval twin handled tray, with engraved decoration, a rectangular tray, decorated with an Art Nouveau border, a twin handled campana shaped wine cooler, decorated with a gadrooned rim and a twin handled oval stand, raised on four legs and fitted with a spirit burner, (4).
Sixteen cut glass wine and spirit glasses comprising two red, two white wine and four liqueur glasses, all Thomas Webb, most with original paper labels, a pair of hobnail cut brandy balloon glasses and a thistle shaped wine glass, all Edinburgh Crystal engraved and etched with thistle motifs, together with a pair of whisky tumblers, a pair of port glasses and a wine glass. All in very good condition, no chips, cracks or other defects noted.(16)
