Together with George, Prince of Greece Autograph Statement Signed, Georges, Prince de Grece, Prince de Danemark, one page, folio, n.p., n.d., in French. The Prince writes, in full, ‘In order to ensure peace, we must all, great or small, have the same rights in the League of Nations, and the great Powers must treat the small nations in a spirit of equity and not of vested interest.’ Also including J. B. M. Hertzog (1866-1942) Prime Minister of South Africa 1924-39. Autograph Statement Signed, one page, folio, Geneva, 16th September 1930, in part, ‘The League is the response made by humanity to the appeal of nationalism for protection against war and its consequences. To thrive it must stand implanted in the heart of humanity…’ VG, 3 The statements were prepared for publication in the Pax Mundi book; an anthology of sentiments on peace published in Switzerland by the World League for Peace.
