An early 20th Century Stevens & Williams spirit decanter of tapered sleeve form with applied loop handle below a silver hallmarked collar for Birmingham 1908, matched hollow blown stopper, relief moulded and polished intaglio carved with panels of stylised Art Nouveau flowers in the manner of Frederick Carder, height 22cm.

WILLIAM JOHN PITCHER, RI (1858-1925) SEVEN SKETCH BOOKS OF BOTANICAL DRAWINGS 217 leaves, mostly dated (23 February 1918-20 July 1924) many inscribed, pencil, in Winsor & Newton Ltd Sketch Books, Series 35, 25 x 18cm, cloth bound all signed on the pastedown 'Wm Pitcher RI 122 Coleherne Court SW5' and 31 botanical watercolours by the same hand, 18 x 13cm, loosely inserted in an album (8)An artist and author, William Pitcher, the son of a wealthy shipbuilder is better known as a designer of costume and sets for the theatre and ballet. This corpus of recently discovered meticulous botanical drawings that seem to have been executed purely for his own pleasure are of such quality and precision as to justify serious study and a reappraisal of his reputation. By the early 1920s his career as a designer was largely over. His ability to evoke style and spirit in his costume and stage designs led his obituarist writing in The Times (3 March 1925) to observe 'Wilhelm [Pitcher's pseudonym] excelled especially in rendering the spirit and detail of historical periods, but he had also an amusing skill in turning modern costumes to his fantastical purposes... to his imaginative gifts he added remarkable precision and firmness in execution..."
GLENCRAIG 31 YEAR OLD - CADENHEAD'S 1 bottle. Glencraig 31 Year Old distilled at Glenburgie-Glenlivet. 70cl. 50.8% abv. Glencraig Single Malt Scotch Whisky was produced at Glenburgie Distillery between 1958 and 1981 using two Lomond Stills which were then demolished. The whisky was kept in separate spirit safes and receiving vessels so as not to mix it with Glenburgie spirit. Bottled in 2012 by Cadenhead's this is a rare chance to own an unusual malt. In original presentation box. Excellent condition.

Bottled to celebrate a research initiative led by Ardbeg into the reaction of the whisky with charred oak to look for differences in the spirit under different gravity conditions by sending samples to the International Space Station. In original carton. Excellent condition.

KILKERRAN FIRST CASK SET 6 bottles. To mark the re-opening of the Kilkerran Distillery, the first six casks of the first spirit run were laid down to be bottled in 2014 when they reached 10 years of age. Each cask had each previously held different spirits/ fortified wines. The presentation case is also accompanied by a set of miniatures. The bottles (all 70cl, all 46% abv): OLOROSO WOOD; FINO WOOD; RUM WOOD; MADEIRA WOOD; PORT WOOD; BOURBON WOOD. In excellent condition; levels mid-neck.
SPIRIT LABEL. A George IV silver Burgundy spirit label, by Mary Ann & Charles Reily. London 1826. CONDITION REPORTS: The wine label is in generally good condition. Looking at the label, on the left hand side, there is wear to the loop where the suspension ring is attached. This was once a plain label that has been later pierced. It is sterling.
