The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to strict COVID-19 guidelines and full instructions will be given when making your appointment. Presenting rather well in Peacock Blue with a classic Rolls-Royce cream interior 30,544 miles indicated which could well be accurate, however, we have no paperwork We understand that it does drive but needs a battery This is a lovely straight old Spirit that looks to have been cared for on offer at No Reserve NB. On offer from a private collection, this vehicle has not been used for some time. It is a non-runner and is strictly sold as seen. There were no real surprises in Autumn 1980 when Rolls-Royce unveiled their new Silver Spirit and its long wheelbase counterpart, the Silver Spur, alongside Bentley's sporting Mulsanne range. The well-proven 6,750cc V8 engine previously used in the Silver Shadow was retained and now had slightly more power (228bhp and a mighty 330lb/ft) but the styling was much more modern and angular, being longer, wider and lower and with 30 per cent more glass area. Road-holding was reported to be "the best yet from Rolls-Royce" thanks to significant improvements to the self-levelling rear suspension and the new car could waft up to 60mph in just 10 seconds with a top speed of 125mph. Interior appointments were as luxurious as ever, using only the finest hides and veneers, the most noticeable change being the adoption of separate rear seats. "A gloriously individual possession that signifies impeccable excellence and taste, an extravagant celebration of detail over function, a monument in the driveway and an occasion to drive," was how Autocar summed it up. Dating from 1982, this Silver Spirit presents really well, and with a little bit of detailing could be rather special. 30,544 miles indicated which, judging by its condition, could well be correct but there is no paperwork to corroborate. It does drive and we believe just needs a battery. Incredibly it's on offer at No Reserve. Click here for more information This car was consigned by Simon Langsdale. Ï’ A Ceylonese ebony and specimen wood inlaid circular centre table, second quarter 19th century, the circular top with radiating serpentine bands of tropical timbers to include satinwood, coromandel and palm wood, surrounded by an ivory inlaid and lappet carved border, above a reeded turned tapering stem incorporating scrolling lappet carved terminals, the concave sided plinth base cornered by moulded roundels, on squat turned bun feet and concealed castors, 75cm high, the top 122cm diameter This table is typical of the carved ebony furniture manufactured on the island of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) in the Galle district, throughout the 19th century. While the form of these tables is based on English designs dating to the second quarter of the 19th century (such as Thomas King's The Modern Style of Cabinet Work Exemplified of 1829), the carved ornament, including the lotus motif are derived from local traditions. These tables were supplied to the British colonists in Ceylon and India for export to England. A number of tables similarly inlaid with exotic woods are known, including the earliest dated example, formerly at the Royal Commonwealth Society with a presentation plaque dated 1836 (A. Jaffer, Furniture from British India and Ceylon, London, 2001, p. 373, fig. 142).A virtually identical table was sold, Christie's, Interiors - Style & Spirit, London, 13th May 2008 (£38,900). An almost identical table was sold Christie's, London, 21-22 November 2007, Lot 160. Howard Koslow (American, 1924 - 2016) "James Dean" Signed lower left. Original Acrylic on Illustration Board Painting. Provenance: Collection of James A. Helzer (1946-2008), Founder of Unicover Corporation. This painting originally appeared on the Fleetwood First Day Cover of the Legends of Hollywood Series 32c James Dean stamp issued June 24, 1996. Born on February 8, 1931, in Fairmount, Indiana, James Dean moved with his family to Los Angeles when he was a young child. After his mother's death in 1940, Dean's father was unable to care for his young son, so James returned to Fairmount where he lived with his aunt and uncle on their farm. A skilled athlete, Dean earned letters in high school basketball and track. He also discovered he had a talent for acting. After his graduation in 1949, Dean moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. He attended UCLA as a theater arts major and appeared in various television programs. In September of 1951, Dean moved to New York City. Dean worked steadily throughout the summer and fall of 1953, performing in a variety of television programs and stage productions. In 1954, he won a Tony Award for his outstanding performance in the Broadway play, The Immoralist. Hollywood director Elia Kazan was impressed with Dean and hired him to star as "Cal" in Kazan's new film, East of Eden. Dean superbly portrayed the misunderstood, rebellious son with a vulnerable spirit that thousands of teen-agers could identify with. In Dean's next film, Rebel Without a Cause, he continued to characterize youthful alienation, while his last film, Giant, launched him forever into the realm of star, hero and legend. On September 30, 1955 -- at the height of his career -- James Dean died in a tragic automobile accident. He was buried in Park Cemetery at his hometown of Fairmount, Indiana. Image Size: 14 x 12 in. Overall Size: 20 x 18 in. Unframed. (B15352)

Kaytee Esser (20th C.) Titled "Follies". Signed lower right. Acrylic on Canvas. Artist's Statement: My work captures the rich character and personality of life. I can best describe my style as light, bright, and fun. I look for the individual personality that makes my paintings unique. I paint mainly with oil on canvas. Painting is my passion and my challenge, which I strive to communicate to the observer. About The Artist: Kaytee Esser is an award-winning painter whose studio works examines both the sensuality and richly varied texture of relationships. She connects with each of her subjects on a deeply personal level, capturing their essence and translating it to canvas. The interplay between line, light and color illuminates the spirit of her subjects as they relate to their surroundings and each other. Most recently, Kaytee is experimenting with abstract design with an overlay of figure and movement. Her style is contemporary and impressionistic. Ms. Esser's use of light and bright color is perfectly suited to the south's tropical climate. Sight Size: 20 x 16 in. Overall Size: 22 x 18 in. Framed behind glass.
