A Spode Caramanian series potted meat dish, of oval shape with deep vertical sides, printed in blue around the outside with enlarged scenes from the usual border of Indian Sporting animals and inside the rim with a narrow version of the border itself, 16cm long, printed lower-case maker's mark, circa 1810-20 (broken and glued sections to one end) See Drakard & Holdway pages 905-21 for similar usage of the border prints on a sauce ladle and covered toilet box
