An Elkington and Co Ltd part cutlery canteen comprising ten table knives, twelve table forks, twelve dessert spoons, six egg spoons, eleven table spoons, three tea spoons, two sauce ladles, one soup ladle, one serving ladle, all Rat tail pattern bearing initial in italics "E", together with various other cutlery including soup spoons tea spoons etc housed in a mahogany canteen box with rising lid over two drawers with Wellington style locking mechanism
A TANTO DAGGER. A late 19thC mounted Tanto Dagger, with 8" blade having some damage to the tip. The unsigned tang has two Mekugi-Ana, with gilt on copper Habaki, decorated with a fan and spatula on opposite faces. Plain wooden Tsuka with small oval copper Tsuba , with Menuki of a spoon and a net on one side, the other now missing. The Saya in the wood bark design finish, bearing a bowl, chopping block and a cleaver on the one side. On the other a lidded pot, ladle and other decorations. See Illustration

A Victorian Provincial silver fiddle pattern sauce ladle by Joseph Mayer of Liverpool, Exeter, 1851, engraved with mermaid crest; a Victorian thread-edge butter knife with fancy cartouche to blade, by Martin & Hall, Sheffield, 1884; an Edwardian pointed end sauce ladle by the same makers, Sheffield, 1909, crested with an arm embowed charged with an annulet and holding a banner charged with a bee; and a George IV butter knife by Lea & Clark, Birmingham, 1825, handle with Union flowers (4), weighable silver 222 gm.Overall good condition, on last item a slight gap between handle and blade.
