A Victorian Silver Soup-Ladle and Set of Eight Silver Table-Spoons, by John James Whiting, London, 1844, single struck Albert pattern, engraved with a crest, the soup-ladle 33.5cm long, 28oz (9) . The marks are generally clear. There is overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the engraving, particularly on the table-spoons. There is some pitting and bruising to the bowl of the soup-ladle.
An antique 19th century Bavarian / German large stoneware glazed wine barrel. The barrel profusely decorated with leaves, grapes and scenes of drunkenness. Notation to one side; Du Ist Kostlich Irde Stundr Wo Man Trinket Liebt Und Sinat. The handles in the form of tree branches. With lid. The exterior painted in green, with black ground panels. Makers marks ' SL ' to underside of barrel and lid. Small chip to lid, where the ladle would sit. Measures approx; 30cm tall.
