A pair of armorial tureens on stand, an early 19th century English Peacock and a lidded tureen with integral stand and ladle. Tallest 17.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both tureens are very dusty and dirty. Neither tureen lid nor stand has any repairs or restoration. Tureen 1 lid is in good order with no issues other than dirt and discolouration to the underside edge. The tureen itself has two very old hairline cracks, one which runs from one butterfly down to the edge of one of the leaves around the leg and across and around the top of the leaf on the second leg. This runs for 10-11 cm. A second hairline crack which is shorter runs between two of the legs and across one leaf for +/- 3 cm. The base is extremely dirty and has one small hairline crack running for about 1 cm. The gilding is rubbed to the extremities of the base. Tureen 2 is in less good order. The lid has a small under edge chip. The main body of the tureen is in generally good order with no issues other than dirt and slight staining. The main issue is to the base which has had a break and an old riveted repair. There is also a hairline crack to the underside. The lidded tureen with ladle and integral stand is not in particularly good condition. The stand is stained, the main bowl has been broken in half and riveted and there is hairline crack and rubbing to the gilding. The ladle has a hairline crack running around the bowl but no breaks. There is some discolouration. The lid has had a break across the centre. The peacock plume is missing. There are also various nibbles and losses to the floral decorations which are too many to list. The piece is however free from any cracks, repairs or restoration. The pair of tureens height 17.5 cm, base length 23 cm, base width 16.5 cm. Second tureen height 15 cm, base length 17.5 cm. Peacock height 17.5 cm, length 16 cm.
