A mixed lot of silver comprising a silver milk jug, London, 1845 by Daniel & Charles Houle; a small mug, Birmingham, 1928 by William Suckling Ltd, an engraved silver twin pack playing card box modelled in the form of a Sedan Chair, London, 1899 by Samuel Jacob; a twin handled pot, London, 1908 (makers mark rubbed), a silver ladle, London, 1816 by Solomon Hougham, a twin handled bowl, Birmingham, 1936 (makers mark rubbed), a silver bowl, London, 1911 by Charles Thomas Fox, a silver toast rack, Birmingham, 1913 (unidentified makers mark) and a silver cased trinket box with lining. Aprrox 1300g. Also together with two silver lidded pots with blue glass liners, one with marks rubbed and the other London, 1861 by George fox and a silver plated bowl.
20th century AD. A mixed group comprising: a copper pint measure jug with tiered base, strap handle, pouring lip, lead seal with impressed 'HR' and heater shield; an iron ladle with long socket and wooden handle. 567 grams total, ladle: 37cm (14 1/2"). Property of an Essex collector; acquired 1990-2010. The ladle was commissioned from Anvil Art, Somerset, U.K. [2, No Reserve]. Fine condition.
A box containing two circa 1900 glass onion-shaped vases with frilly edges, together with various shells, a punch ladle with shell bowl and various cast metal figures possibly from the Grand Tour to include Ibis, cherub figure, etc CONDITION REPORTS The Lloyd Loom type tub chair - the paint is peeling in various places and there is a split in the back. The upholstered seat has been pinned down and the pins are rusting. Paint is peeling off all over the place. Was re-painted from oink. The other chair upholstery is worn and paint is chipped and peeling in various places. Both have wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for further details
A collection of various blue and white wares to include sauce tureen cover and stand "near Carnarvon" pattern, seaweed decorated Pap boat, similar sauce tureen (no cover), waterfall decorated miniature chamber pot, Copeland jug, two peppers, a further Pap boat, Davenport lidded mustard, two napkin rings, miniature sauce tureen (no lid) and two gilt banded and rose decorated pots and covers and a blue and white sauce ladle CONDITION REPORTS The near Carnarvon tureen and cover all have significant crazing and large fractures. The base has had breakage and repair. The seaweed decorated Pap boat has a large chip to the bottom rim as well as a chip to the main body, various cracks, hairline fractures, discolouration and crazing throughout. Sauce tureen in the similar pattern in a similar condition - the ladle has had its' handle broken and repaired. Chamber pot has some brown gooey substance to the base, crazing all over, discolouration to the interior. Copeland Spode jug has wear to the glazing around the spout as well as rim, heavy crazing, discolouration, a hairline crack running down the body of the spout through to the base. Has a large star crack to the base of the jug, heavy wear to the glaze on the handle. Both peppers have discolouration especially the baluster shaped one, chips etc - both have corks missing. Further Pap boat has a hairline fracture to the lip, discolouration and staining. Lidded mustard has several large chips/sections missing, hairline fractures, crazing, discolouration etc. Both napkin rings have discolouration, chipping, hairline fractures the miniature tureen with no lid has chips to the interior rim, the gilt dressing table pots and covers both have chips to the interiors. All items are in need of a good clean, have heavy ware of tear surface scratches, discolouration, chips, knocks etc. See images for further details.
