:A COLLECTION OF FOUR VERY GOOD QUALITY EDWARDIAN WALKING CANES said to have been made for the fifth Duke of Sutherland 1888-1963. The first is a bamboo cane approx 35 inches in length and surmounted by an ivory fish (the tail missing), the second is a malaca cane with a gold ring at the top and the remains of a horn handle, the third is a hard wood cane 36 inches long with gold bands retaining pieces of iridescent and satin shell and surmounted by a horn handle, and lastly black ebony cane 35 inches long with a horn handle, fitted with gold coloured caps and gold coloured ring to the base of the handle with an unmarked shield upon it.
