A LARGE PARCEL-GILT IRON VAJRA, TIBET, 12TH - 13TH CENTURYThe eight-pronged vajra with a central knob of compressed globular form, flanked to each side by four stylized beast masks, the recessed geometric decorations covered with gilt lacquer, a loose ring attached to the interior central pole to either end of the vajra, the prongs terminating in pointed finials.
