A 9 ct yellow gold opal ring, size P. CONDITION REPORT: All of the opals are slightly misty due to old surface abrasions. Small scratches are visible with the aid of a magnifier. The centre stone is the worst affected. The real problem however is that one of the middle size stones has a crack from left to right which probably runs through the opal entirely. The ring has an enclosed back so we cannot see if this is the case.
A gold metal ring, circa 1970's, set with a series of diamond bands and makers stylised "S" mark, stamped "750", size E, 5.5 grams gross (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The size of the centre diamond is approximately 4mm x 3mm. In our opinion the diamonds are nice and white and bright. They do not appear yellowed. The ring is in generally in very good condition. We can see no damage to settings. There are no loose stones. The stones are a little dirty when viewed from the rear. We have looked at the stones with a 14 x loop and whilst there appears to be the occasional inclusion the stones seem generally to be fairly good. They are however dirty, and it is a little difficult to tell. The shank has been resized.
A gentleman's 18 ct gold signet ring, with intaglio cut carnelian with crest, the shank stamped "18 ct", size H. Intaglio 23 mm x 18 mm, 19 grams gross. CONDITION REPORT: There are numerous small surface scratches to the flat sections of the stone. These are in our opinion fairly minor. There is however a small chip to the top right hand corner of the centre armorial and a further small chip to the bottom left hand corner. The intaglio mount is in generally good order with only a small amount of wear to the bottom left hand corner. The intaglio itself seems to have little wear. The shank looks to have been reduced in size. There is a visible line right at the bottom of the ring. The shank is perhaps a little thin in this area but perfectly serviceable.
A DIAMOND DRESS RING, the round brilliant cut cinnamon stone of approximately 0.75cts, claw set to wide tapering shoulders, each set with six baguette cut stones in borders pave set with numerous small round brilliants to a wide 18k white gold shank, size J (Est. plus 21% premium inc. VAT)
