An 18ct gold, green tourmaline and diamond ring, hallmarked 'CEB' for Catherine Best of Guernsey, the elongated, fancy cut tourmaline, approx. 6ct, in a bezel setting, flanked by trios of brilliant cut diamonds to each shoulder, total 0.126ct, size K, accompanied by a photocopy of the original Certificate of Authenticity, dated 14th April 2004.
An 18ct white gold, aquamarine and diamond cluster ring, marked '18CT', the oval cut 11 x 9mm. aquamarine, approx. 3.35ct, within a border of eight cut diamonds, size N½. * Condition: Tiny chip to top edge of crown and very, very slight wear to a couple of other corners at the top of the crown to the aquamarine. The chip can only be seen with a 10x lens. No other faults - otherwise in good condition, with very little wear to claws and the shank has not been sized.
An antique 18ct gold and emerald five stone ring, set with five slightly graduated emeralds, hallmarked '18CT', size N.* Condition: The emeralds all have inclusions and tiny pits & frits to the surface. Two of the stones (centre and one end stone) have surface fractures which are visible to the naked eye. Some wear to claws but the stones all appear secure. Shank has not been sized and is in good condition.
A mid-century 18ct gold, platinum, sapphire and diamond cluster ring, the diamond shaped cluster with a central diamond cut sapphire, within a scalloped border of eight cut diamonds, over tapered diamond set shoulders, size P.* Condition: Sapphire is not chipped, but it does have a tiny scratch to the table (visible in photo) and very, very slight wear to the table edges. Some wear to millegrain edge and claws but the stones are all securely set. Shank has not been sized and is in good condition.
Leo de Vroomen - a platinum and cabochon aquamarine ring, and a pair of ear clips en suite, the ring hallmarked 'L.D.V', London 2000, with stamped 'de Vroomen' signature, the 16 x 13mm. cabochon aquamarine collet set over a wide band with planished finish and strapwork shoulders, size L; together with a pair of matching de Vroomen ear clips, hallmarked London 2000, 28mm. long; and a matched pendant made by Catherine Best of Guernsey, c.2003, 50mm.long, on an 18ct white gold snake chain. (4)* Provenance (the ring and earrings): Boodle & Dunthorne, Regent Street, London, with accompanying insurance valuation documents dated 2001. The Catherine Best pendant with Certificate of Authenticity.
An 18ct white gold, platinum, emerald and diamond cluster ring, the 6.5 x 4.5mm. emerald, approx. 0.50ct, within a border of ten brilliant cut and two marquise cut diamonds, total approx. 0.6ct, over split shoulders, size M½.* Condition: One minute chip to edge of table on emerald. No other damage. The claws are in VG cdn and the stones are all secure. Shank has been sized but hallmark not affected. Diamonds are well matched, quite clean and bright - one of the marquise cut diamonds has two tiny carbon spots near one end.
A small group of antique jewellery, including an Art Nouveau style 9ct gold and opal pendant, 44mm. drop; a cased 9ct gold and seed pearl horse shoe and riding crop stick pin; a boxed Georgian silver and mottled stone ring, with chased floral decoration, size V; a boxed 19th century 9ct gold ring, faults; and a cased Victorian brooch set with a large, unpolished mineral specimen, 8.3cm. long. An antique 18ct gold, silver and diamond triple cluster ring, each cluster with a central old brilliant cut diamond, the central principal diamond approx. 0.50ct, the two smaller clusters centred by an approx. 0.15ct diamond, each within a border of smaller old cut diamonds, total approx. 1.6ct, size O½.
An 18ct yellow gold and diamond three stone ring, claw set with three graduated brilliant cut diamonds, size J½.* Condition: Centre stone approx. 0.75ct. The two smaller stones each approx. 0.50ct. - approx. 1.75ct in total. All of the stones have a significant inclusion, hence the relatively modest estimate in comparison to the stone weight - the centre stone has a large opaque white inclusion extending from one claw into the table. It is very clearly visible under a 10x lens. One side stone has a similar opaque white inclusion beneath one claw. The other side stone has a large silvery to the edge of the table and crown, which extends to the surface and shows as a small fracture on the crown of the stone. The colour of the stones is approx. J - they are drawing a little colour. The shank has been sized at some time and is slightly mishapen. Some wear to claws but the stones are all secure.
An 18ct gold, peach topaz and diamond cluster ring, marked '18CT', the 9.5 x 6.75mm. oval cut topaz, approx. 1.45ct, within a border of twelve brilliant cut diamonds, approx. 0.85ct, size N½.* Condition: In very good condition overall. The topaz has one tiny abrasion to the edge of the crown, but it is incredibly insignificant and can only be seen if viewed carefully through a 10x lens. There are also two small needle inclusions to the topaz, which again can only be seen through a lens, not with the naked eye. The claws are VG and the shank is in good condition and has not been sized.
A Victorian 18ct gold and half pearl mourning ring, inscribed to inside face, "...emory of Elizabeth Schofield Obt. March 18th 1857", the outside with relief chased foliate scrolls and central half pearl, size O.* Condition: Has been sized, which has removed the first few letters of the inscription. The gold otherwise in good condition. The pearl has some peeling to the nacre.
