A late Victorian diamond five stone ring, the graduated old-cut diamonds in scalloped gypsy style setting, 18ct gold mounted, with interior inscription dated 1885, numbered 5323, total diamond weight approximately 0.55ct, ring size SDiamonds graduate from approximately 0.22ct to 0.06ct in size and are well matched with a bright and lively appearance. Some stones have girdle chips, estimated SI1 to P1 clarity and I to K colour, assessed mounted. The ring mount has general surface wear, scratches and scuffs and the shank has been re-sized, with a later added section inserted between the hallmarks, which are partially worn. The maker's mark appears to be 'G. BRO'. The band tapers in width from 6.4mm to 3.6mm in width. Gross weight approx. 4.3gm.

An emerald and diamond five stone ring, alternately set with round brilliant-cut diamonds and oval mixed-cut emeralds in collet settings, 9ct yellow gold mounted, maker's mark WNM, total diamond weight approximately 0.60ct, ring size RDiamonds are well matched, bright and lively, estimated SI1 to SI2 clarity and H to J colour, assessed mounted. The central diamond weighs approximately 0.30ct, each of the outer stones weigh approximately 0.15ct. Emeralds are well matched but heavily included with fractures, fissures and mineral inclusions, some of these inclusions surface-reaching. Both emeralds have scuffs and nicks/chips, each measures approximately 5.5mm length x 4mm width. The mount is modern with general surface wear and hallmarks are partly worn but just legible. Gross weight approximately 4.7gm.

The yellow quartz has a greenish-yellow hue with light surface wear and is slightly loose in the setting, measuring approximately 24.5mm length x 17.5mm width x 13.2mm depth. Hallmarks and the maker's mark are clearly struck. Gross weight approximately 18.4gm.

One of the central claws has been pushed to the side and some of the other claws are a little worn. Amethysts are well matched with surface wear, scuffs and nicks. Diamonds are well matched, bright and lively, estimated SI1 to SI2 clarity and H to J colour, assessed mounted. Total diamond weight approximately 0.20ct. Hallmarks are clearly struck, maker's mark possibly 'J&P'. Gross weight approximately 4.7gm. Second ring: surface wear, nicks and scuffs to mount and amethyst. Metal standard is untested. Gross weight approximately 4.8gm.

A pink tourmaline, sapphire and diamond cocktail ring by Rodney Rayner, the oval cabochon pink tourmaline enclosed to each shoulder by three pavé set petals of round brilliant-cut diamonds and circular mixed-cut sapphires, 18ct white gold mounted, hallmarked for London 2003 with maker's mark RHR, total diamond weight approximately 0.25ct, ring size approximately N - OLight surface wear, scuffs and nicks/small chips to the mount and gemstones, commensurate for occasional use. The pink tourmaline contains multiple fracture, fissure and needle inclusions, some that are surface-reaching, and measures approximately 21mm length x 14.4mm width x 8.4mm depth. Sapphires are well matched, of steely-blue hues, occasional stones with faint colour zoning and small inclusions. Diamonds are mostly well matched, bright and lively, estimated VS1 to SI1 clarity and H to K colour, assessed mounted. Hallmarks and the maker's mark are clearly struck. Gross weight approximately 17.3gm.

The setting and gallery have an irregular surface texture that is inherent to the design. The emerald contains typical fracture, fissure and mineral inclusions, some of these surface-reaching. Hallmarks and the maker's mark are clearly struck. Width of setting 1.25cm. Gross weight approximately 6gm. Ear clips: general surface wear, scratches, scuffs, nicks and chips to the mount and gemstones, commensurate for use. The settings have an irregular surface texture that is inherent to the design. The emeralds contain typical fracture, fissure and mineral inclusions, some of these surface-reaching. Hallmarks are positioned to one of the fittings and are worn/mis-struck, and so we are unable to confirm the gold standard. Part of the date letter is present, possibly for 1966. The maker's mark has patchy wear. Both clips are functioning. Gross weight approximately 5.7gm.

A late 18th century ivory and enamel memorial ring, the oval ivory panel painted to depict a maiden gesturing towards a funerary urn on plinth, inscribed 'LIFE HOW SHORT', framed by a weeping willow tree, within a black enamel border inscribed 'AARON MORRITT OB 29 APR 1793 AE 43', between tapered foliate engraved shoulders, together with an agate and purple stone double cluster brooch, (later fitting), ring size approximately L, brooch length 3.3cm (2)Ivory registration no. FP25K67V Ring: crazing, surface wear and dust/dirt residue to ivory miniature panel, with scuffs, scratches and nicks to glazing above. Small chips/nicks and scuffs to enamel inscription. Panel measures approximately 2.8cm length x 1.8cm width. The ring mount has surface wear, with solder seams visible at junctions to the panel reverse and shoulders, and is untested as gold/gilt metal. Engraved decoration has patchy light wear. Gross weight approximately 5.8gm. Brooch: The central agate cabochons are foil-backed and the purple stones are possibly foil-backed pastes, all with considerable abrasion, scuffs and chips to the surface. Mount is two-colour with considerable wear and tarnishing, untested as silver/gold/gilt metal. Fittings are later replaced/added. Gross weight approximately 8.2gm.

Lot 73

A sapphire and diamond dress ring, the oval mixed-cut sapphire claw set between stepped shoulders of baguette-cut diamonds, 18ct two colour gold mounted, hallmarked for Sheffield 1996, total diamond weight approximately 0.45ct, ring size OThe sapphire has a light to mid blue hue with a slight greyish/purplish tint and has faint colour zoning when viewed under magnification. The sapphire has surface wear, with scattered chips/nicks to facet edges and the girdle. Sapphire dimensions approximately 8.2mm length x 6.5mm width x 3.9mm depth. Diamonds are well matched, bright and lively, both of the outer stones are chipped. Surface wear to mount, solder join to back of shank, marks are clearly struck. Overall width of setting 1.35cm. Gross weight approximately 3.6gm.

A diamond three stone ring, the graduated round brilliant-cut diamonds in eight claw settings, 18ct two colour gold mounted, hallmarked for London 1975, principal diamond weight approximately 0.50ct, total diamond weight approximately 1ct, ring size L½ Diamonds are well matched, bright and lively, with estimated I to J colour and SI2 to P1 clarity, assessed mounted. Diamond dimensions approximately: centre stone 5.2mm diameter x 3.2mm depth; outer stones 4.3mm diameter x 2.5mm depth each. The ring mount has surface wear commensurate for use, maker's mark 'MJ LD'. Marks are clearly struck. Gross weight approximately 2.9gm.

Lot 79

A diamond dress ring, the crossover band highlighted with an old-cut diamond of brown tint in collet setting, (diamond untested for natural colour), accented with two smaller similarly set old and single-cut diamonds, 18ct two colour gold mounted, maker's mark GG, total diamond weight approximately 0.35ct, ring size Q½The mount is of modern manufacture, with surface wear, scuffs and nicks throughout. Solder joins are present at junctions within the setting, presumed to be part of manufacture. The diamond of brown tint contains surface-reaching fracture inclusions and weighs approximately 0.30ct; we are unable to provide an estimated clarity grading due to the saturation of the colour tint. This diamond is untested for natural/treated colour. Smaller diamonds are relatively bright and lively. Hallmarks are clearly struck. Gross weight approximately 3.3gm.
