An opal and diamond cluster ring, the central oval opal measuring 7mm x 5mm, with a cluster surround of ten old cut diamonds, claw set split shoulders and plain polished 18ct gold shank, ring size Q, weight 4.2gmsCR; The opal shows some minor scratching and wear to the dome, but is in good order. There is some scratching to the flat reverse. All diamonds are in tact, a few of the diamonds show some chipping and breakages to the facet edges and girdles. Some wear to the claws, but all stones are in tact. Settings and shoulders are in good order, no splitting, thinning or repair. There is moderate thinning and some misshaping to the shank, as well as signs of possible resizing or repair.
