Dauria dating: first quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Naples Fine, smooth, two-stage, 18 mm cal. barrel, octagonal first, then round, with a ring and acanthus leaves at the girdle, provided with two crowned marks "R" in gold and "BDA-GMA", finished, with foresight; flintlock signed "Ber. Dauria", chiselled and engraved with floral motifs; wooden full stock sculpted with floral motifs, under the butt the head of an animal, on the cheek a rosette; beautiful, brass mounts engraved with floral motifs. A shamshir dating: early 19th Century provenance: Arabia Wide, curved, single -and false-edged blade, with a wide fuller at the centre and two thinner ones near the back, on both sides of the forte gold-inlaid inscriptions in Arabic characters; iron hilt with remains of silver inlays, grip with copper wire binding, grip scales with iron plaques and small inlays, brass studs and iron cap featuring remains of inlays. Wooden scabbard with leather covering stitched with copped thread; iron chape and cap (one ring only, the other missing) with silver inlays decorated en suite with the quillon of the sword. dimensions: length 98,5 cm.

A small-sword for a member of the Institut d'Égypte dating: circa 1800 provenance: France Straight blade of triangular section and hollow faces, finished at the forte, featuring small gold-inlaid engravings depicting floral motifs and trophies, gilt base, marked "IGB"; silver shell-guard with fretwork and engraved feathers and spider net, silver quillon and guard with bas-relieved floral decorations, the edge of the parry quillon shaped as a bud; silver pommel decorated with palmettes; grip with mother of pearl grip scales, lateral bands decorated with oak branches and a mount depicting the effigy of a Pharaoh, the ring-nuts with palemttes and foliage. The Institut d'Égypte was a learned academy formed by Napoleon Bonaparte to carry out research during his Egyptian campaign. A gold mounted kukri dating: late 19th Century provenance: Nepal Strong, curved, single-edged blade, wider at the tip, with a slight fuller, ribbed at the back, engraved at the forte with a band of floral motifs on checkered ground, edged by a recessed and gold-inlaid frame ending in the shape of a bird head; at the base of the blade, on a side is the effigy of a Hindu deity and a man standing, on the other a lion; gold ring-nut; ebony grip chiselled and pierced as a monster head. Wooden scabbard with stitched, leather covering (small defects and restoration at the back); gold-plated chape decorated with bas-relieved floral motifs, the cap gold-plated at the front, and decorated with a dragon (with remains of a mark), and silver-plated at the back. dimensions: length 42,5 cm.
