Breast Badge, 62x46, gilt Silver, enameled on both sides (minor damages), golden medallion with lion in waves with motto "DOE WEL EN ZIE NIET OM" in gold letters on blue enamel/bundle of 11 arrows with scepter superimposed within serpent with motto "EENDRAGT MAAKT MAGT", original suspension ring and ribbon. Founded by Louis Napoleon 1808, abolished and substituted by the Emperor in 1811 at Amsterdam with the Order of the Reunion. Extremely rare order, beautiful manufacture of the 2nd Empire! II RR!

It was destined to reward Indian Princes and Chiefs as well as British Officers and Civil Administrative who saw their service in India and were signalled for their conspicuous merits. Diplomatically, the first award was done to the heads of the Indian Maharajas and Princes and to the highest British authorities in India. After 1948, no further award was granted. Since 2009, with the death of the last Knight, the Maharaja of Alwar, the Order became dormant.
