A Victorian 9ct gold watch chain, comprising alternating curb links and faceted ring links, with attached T-bar and gold coloured lobster claw links, marks for Benjamin Henry Britton and Sons, Birmingham, 45.2cm long, suspending a George V sovereign dated 1915, gross weight 50.9gmsCR; T-bar maker's mark is indistinct, either 'R&S' or 'B&S'. Birmingham anchor mark, stamped '9' and '.375'.All curb-links of the main chain are marked '9' and '.375', however the faceted ring links are unmarked. The lobster claws are stamped 'B&S', but bare no 9ct gold marks. Most of the jump rings suspending the claws, t-bar and sovereign have 9ct gold hallmarks, but some are lacking/have worn. The sovereign mount is unmarked.Largely in good order. Claws are in working order. T-bar in good order. The links are largely in good order, some show areas of thinning, and the faceted loop rings show moderate loss of definition, however there are no obvious signs of splitting or repair. Scratching and wear throughout the chain commensurate with age and use. There is grime build up within some of the faceted links, cleaning required. The sovereign is heavily worn, and have lost definition.

No signs of repair. None of the charms or the ring are hallmarked or marked in any way.

An Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring, the central rectangular cushion cut blue sapphire measuring 11.6mm x 10.6mm x 6.0mm (weighing 5.99 carats), claw set in 18ct white gold to diamond set stepped shoulders, continuing to a plain polished 18ct white gold shank, ring size N, weight 4.7gms, with an accompanying blue leather box for 'Hamilton & Co Ltd Jewellers & Silversmiths Calcutta, Delhi & Simla' Condition Report; Very small nibble to the girdle above the bottom left claw as pictured. No other cracks, chips or nibbles. Very light scratching and wear to central stone. All diamonds are present and in tact, no cracks, chips or losses. All claws and settings appear secure, no splitting, thinning or signs of repair. Shank shows some scratching and wear, commensurate with age and use, but no thinning, spitting or repair.No evidence of heat treatment to the sapphire.This sapphire is accompanied by a certificate by The Gem and Pearl Laboratory (21739) stating that the stone is natural and no heat treatment has been observed - it does not indicate origin.Under 10x there is no obvious windowing and no obvious colour zoning. There are several, fine needle-like inclusions running diagonally across the stone through the table, visible at 10x. They are visible with naked eye, though far less obvious.Diamonds don't show an obvious draw of colour with the naked eye, possibly a slight draw of colour under 10x. Average clarity SI. All show scratching and wear commensurate with use, but no large cracks, chips or losses. Some splitting to one of the flower heads, but largely the mount is in good order, with no major damage or repair. Pin is in working order but is slightly loose. Chain in good order, no signs of breakage or repair, clasp is working order. General scratching and wear throughout commensurate with age and use.Blue example: Nibbling to the facet edges of the blue pastes, light scratching and abrasion throughout, but no large cracks, chips or losses. Mount in good order, no signs of splitting, major damage or repair. Part of the chain is missing, spring ring is present but loop is absent, unable to fasten - some repair required. A Victorian coral and diamond 18ct gold ring, the central coral cabochon measuring 9.5mm diameter, within a border surround of mixed cut diamonds, all claw set to pierced gallery, split scrolling shoulders and plain polished shank, marks for 'T.BROS', Birmingham 1899, size M 1/2, weight 4.3gmsCentral cabochon is slightly loose, wobbling in it's setting. This cabochon may be a later replacement. Please see pictures for further illustration.Central coral is in largely good order - a patch to the reverse appears to be damaged and with possible signs of glue repair. There is a small drill hole to the reverse. Cabochon shows general scratching and wear commensurate with age. All diamonds are present - a few show minor chips and nibbles, but largely are in good order. Diamonds appear secure, settings and gallery in good order.
