The back of the brooch has a small tear/hole near the hinge which has probably been caused by the pin being pushed too far back when open. The pin is not gold. Otherwise in very good original condition. Cabochon garnet in good condition and measure approximately 17mm x 10.5mm. Not hallmarked but tests as approximately 9-15ct gold.The smaller pendant drop - also in very good original condition commensurate with age, enamel decoration is perfect but very grubby. The suspension ring has been soldered and shows signs of lead solder around the joint. There are also signs of lead solder at the back of the setting at the top and the bottom. Not hallmarked but tests as approximately 15ct. The stones have not been tested and in my opinion are likely to be topaz although it is possible that they are citrine.
