There is an additional black ring. There is a sticker to the top of the case and the lining has some slight marks. Date letter U, 1996 Hallmark is "G & Co". Surface scratches appear to be from general use, and are not too pronounced. Hallmarked G & Co .... 750 ...
An 18 carat gold five stone diamond ring in the Victorian manner, approx 1.5 carats total, size O/P with spacer CONDITION REPORTS The central stone appears to have been remounted as claws are visible to the outside edge on both sides. General wear, dirt. One of the two medium sized diamonds has a chip to it. The larger diamond has an inclusion which is visible with the naked eye, as does the diamond with the chip in it, and the other stones have inclusions visible with a magnifying glass. All stones have surface scratches. We cannot comment on the colour or clarity of the diamonds and would recommend viewing in person prior to bidding. Approx. 4.1gms total weight. The largest diamond is approx. 6mm in diameter and depth 3mm, smallest of the five stones in approx. 3mm, (unable to measure the depth) althought each of these stones is interspersed by 2 very small stones/chips (8 of these in total)

George III gold memoriam ring of a child FRAs COLHOUN OB 27 NOV 1775 Æ 5W 2D in white enamel, the oval tablet with a funerary scene and a lock of hair; also a Victorian black lacquer memoriam brooch with a rope twist frame and window of scrolled hair, width 7.5cm; and a memoriam stick pin dated 1889 (3); Condition report: Brooch: 74mm x 60mm; lacquer good; pin and mounting plate have lost the gold plating; the metal decoration around the central display is complete but detached in a couple of places. Ring: enamel chipped in many places but is continuous; minor abrasion on the crystal; the funery urn in the display is initialled FC. Pin: small chip to the enamel; the pin has been soldered over the date on the back of the oval.

The shank has an internal sizing loop; the rhodium plating is good and the surface has a high degree of polish with a few minor marks. Approximate characteristics of the central diamond - cut: round brilliant; clarity: I1; colour H/I. shoulder stones have similar characteristics, length +/-4.8mm.

Condition report: AnchorCert Gem Lab report, centre stone assessed mounted - natural diamond, measurements 6.79 x 6.94mm. Shoulder diamonds have not been assessed - ≈1mm, brilliant cut. Hallmark faint "750"; shank has some very slight abrasion with a good degree of surface polish. The overall condition is bright and clean.
