The left tube has a very light dent around 4-5inches from the muzzle.The barrels are in proof and measure at: . 732 right and .731 left against a proof stamp of .729The walls measure a minimum of .23 right and .21 leftThe bores are clean and free from pitting.The blacking to the barrels fading in places, especially around the breech and muzzle but is generally good.The barrels are reasonably on face but there is a slight wobble perceivable with the forend removed.The actions function correctly with snap caps.The stock has a distinct cast off, it shows signs of wear, the chequering is flat, there are scratches and dents from use, there is a 5mm split emanating from the base of the top tang, as well as a dark line running from the side of the safety catch, which I cannot tell if this is a crack or just a grain line, see image 9 online. There is also an 8mm split to the top of the butt emanating from the point of the butt plate.Gun 2The barrels ring when tapped, there is however the sound of a bead of solder rattling up and down the inside of the barrel join when they are tipped up and down.There are no dents visible, however there is possible rivelling or dents removed.The barrels are in proof and measure at: .732 right and .732 left against a proof stamp of .729The walls measure a minimum of .22 right and .23 leftThe bores are clean and free from pitting. There is a small mark around the mid point of the left tube on the inside area of the wall.The blacking to the barrels is in good order with only slight wear to breech and muzzle.The barrels are on face and tight on the action with only the very slightest wobble with the forend removed.The actions function correctly with snap caps.The stock is free from splits or repairs, there are some scratches and dents from use but nothing defacing. The chequering is quite worn and flat in profile. There is a distinct cast off to the stock.CaseThe case is worn and tired showing signs of a long working life with plenty of scuffs scratches and marks. It is reasonable sound in construction with only small separations to the corners below the brass. One belt is missing, the one which is present is probably a replacement. The inside has small amounts of moth damage, there is wear to the lining and quite a few oil stains and marks. All the separations are still attached but some are looser than they should be. The lock is missing its escutcheon, there is no key.

There is some surface rust patches as can be seen on the outside of the gun. It cannot be determined how well these would clean up and if there is pitting underneath.The blacking to the barrels is in good order with only slight wear.The barrels are on face and tight on the action with no wobble with the forend removed.The actions function correctly with snap caps, the forend catch is stiff to operate.The stock is free from splits or repairs, there are occasional scratches and dents from use but nothing defacing. The butt has been extended, the joint of this extension is parting and would benefit from being re-glued. The polish of the stock has gone opaque due to the damp conditions the gun has been stored in.
