Two early 20th century 18ct gold half-hunter cased wristwatches, circa 1925. Each with a white enamelled dial with black Roman numerals, one with a Vertex movement, the other unsigned, each with a four piece hinged case and snap on bezel, both watch backs with inscriptions, in retailers boxes Condition Report: Vertex; Lacking outer-case glass and internal glass. the front of the case with damage above 12 and enamel loss to chapter ring. The glass bezel loose and is difficult to get to sit/snap down. The back case incribed 'Archie Sept 2 1925', and with some general wear and tear type dents & 'dings'. The dial good, no cracks but grubby and requires a clean. The movement not ticking and overwound, set hands not working. Un-signed; Lacking the inner glass and the subsidiary seconds hand. The half-hunter cover with a shallow dent between 4 & 5, and a hint of a shallow crease near 1. The back inscribed 'Archie fom Sandra Sept 2nd 1937'. The cuvette engraved in a neat manner around the bottom 'Arthur Jack & Co, Cheltenham, Swiss'. A substantial scratch/shallow crease from the button to about 4 with the button on your left, other minor scuffs. The enamelled dial good, no cracks. The movement ticking and appears to be running ok, set hands functioning via the push-piece next to the button. The dust covers both marked '18'. The cases measure 3cm diameter. Gross weights (including straps) 31.4g gross & 26.5g gross
