Lot 9

A charm bracelet, the fancy curb-link bracelet alternately set with half pearls and turquoise coloured cabochons, stamped '15', suspending a collection of assorted gold and gilt metal mounted charms and pendants, to include a Victoria sovereign, dated 1900, with fixed scrolled pendant mount, an aventurine quartz bead, a coral corallium rubrum bead, a 9ct gold seal fob with foliate scroll mount, four further seal fobs, a 9ct gold mounted compass pendant etc., length 17cmCondition report: Considerable wear to bracelet, with patchy thinning and occasional splits to the hollow links. A jump ring has been inserted between two of the links, the safety chain is detached and the clasp is tight fitting. Some of the half pearls and cabochons are later replaced and all have surface wear and patchy discolouration, with occasional chips and fractures. All of the charms and pendants have surface wear, chips and nicks and some have dents, splits and solder repairs. The coral bead has fractures, pitting and chips, measuring approx. 17.4mm in diameter. The aventurine quartz bead has surface-reaching fractures, measuring approx. 24mm in length. Four of the seal fobs are set with hardstone/paste seals. Gross weight approx. 109gm.

A ruby half hoop ring, designed as a line of seven circular mixed-cut rubies in claw settings, 9ct gold mounted, ring size approximately JCondition report: Rubies are well matched, of pinkish-red and orange-red hues, most of the stones containing multiple inclusions such as fractures, fissures, minerals that are just visible to the unaided eye. Some of the rubies have surface-reaching fractures and chips. Each stone measures approx. 3mm to 3.5mm diameter. The mount is off-round and has general surface wear, with chips and scuffs throughout and dings to the shank. The mount is also heavily tarnished. Hallmarks have patchy wear, the shank also bears the maker's mark 'H.B.' Gross weight approx. 2.1gm.
