A fine early 20th century Russian enamel and gem set egg pendant necklace, the yellow gold chain links supporting nineteen egg-shaped charms including examples set with rubies, sapphire, lapis lazuli, moonstone, in various gold textures, most stamped '56' with St. Petersburg or indistinct marks, total length 133 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The yellow gold chain is apparently unmarked but with later lobster catch stamped '375'.The smallest egg approximately 7 mm x 9 mm up to the largest 9 mm x 13 mm.Lime green egg with yellow gold chevron belt with bale stamped 56 and indistinct mark, probably St.Petersburg.Yellow gold egg set with three rubies in petal form with bale stamped 56.Polished red glass egg with yellow gold banding, split pearls to shoulders, bales stamped 56 with St. Petersburg mark.Pink enamel egg with gold studded decoration, bale stamped 56, (KD or RD).
