Georgian brooch with glazed compartment containing a watercolour 'lover's eye' portrait, together with a similar brooch and ring (3) CONDITION REPORT Georgian oval brooch is in good condition. Appears to have later added suspension hoop on back. unmarked but believed to be gold. Other brooch is also in good condition. The pin is possibly a later replacement. File marks visible on one corner (on back) brooch is unmarked. Ring possibly converted from a brooch, evidence of solder where shank meets back of plaque. Shank is not gold. Ten stones (believed to be Garnets) have chips and wear commensurate with age

The two side stones measure approximately 5.66mm - 5.68mm x 3.33mm and 5.55mm - 5.59mm x 3.35mm, estimated to weigh approximately 0.65 carats and 0.63 carats respectively. Estimated colour grade H/I. Estimated clarity VS2 - SI1. Not hallmarked. Original receipt from Garrards & Co. states the setting as platinum and 18ct white gold. Total gross weight 3.7 grams

Late Victorian 18ct gold opal and diamond heart-shape ring, the central heart-shape opal cabochon surrounded by old cut diamonds in gold claw setting, with foliate shoulders (Birmingham 1895). Ring size M½ CONDITION REPORT Opal measures approx 6.1mm x 5.1mm x 1.75mm, minute blemish/chip the size of a pinhead that is on the surface towards the top left hand side, only visible with a loupe and probably could be re polished to remove it. The opal has a good play of colour displaying greens and blues. Diamonds of good colour and clarity and well matched. Setting in good condition commensurate with age. Clear hallmarks
