A Trio of Floral Miser's or Stocking Purses, showing different styles and techniques. The earliest, and smallest, is worked with minute beads, a mix of clear, two shades of blue, and green, alternating in the central panel with undulating lines and tiny flowers. A butterfly features both sides at each end. Part lined in cream silk. Together with a bead knitted and crochet purse, the floral ends beaded both sides with opalescent, green, blue, lilac pink and red and bordered with gold metal beads, complementing the honey shade of the central panel. Simple, single gold metal ring. Finally, a late 19th century finely composed long crochet purse, the straight edge end featuring violets and roses, with shaded leaves, and two small silk tassels. A band of similar colours but more geometric design is worked around the rounded section, which is then finished with three larger silk tassels in matching colours. . The silk lining for purse one is shattered. Colour fade to the coral thread in purse three.
