A 1930s Art Deco gold and cabochon boulder opal ring, possibly an Ethiopian Welo opal, probably 9ct, maker's mark BJT, the high domed 17 x 12mm. oval opal with lovely depth, iridescing shades of green, yellow, red, orange and blue, in a tooth engraved collet setting within arrow head shoulders set with a small triangular cut deep amber stone, ring size L.
An 18ct gold cased side wind half hunter pocket watch by J. W. Benson of London, hallmarked London 1912, 47mm. diameter case with Royal blue enamel Roman chapter ring to front of case, white Roman enamel dial signed 'J. W. Benson London', gilt double spade hands, subsidiary seconds dial at six, hand engraved monogram to back case, the three quarter plate lever movement signed 'A6282 Best London Make To H. M. The Queen J. W. Benson Ludgate Hill London'.* Condition: Winds and works briefly but then stops. Will require servicing and possibly repair. Minor losses from blue enamel to fine line around case chapter ring. Small scratches to glass. Two tiny dings to top of case back. Small nicks and scratches around thumbpiece on case back from use of tools to open. Dial good with no hairlines. Slight scuffing to sub. seconds dial from contact with hand.
A 9ct gold cased side wind half hunter pocket watch, case by Dennison Watch Case Co., Birmingham 1923, 45mm. diameter case with Royal blue enamel Roman chapter ring to case front, white Roman enamel dial signed by the retailer 'W. E. Gray 522 Oxford St. W. Swiss Made', blued steel hands, subsidiary seconds dial at six, the engine turned 7 jewel lever movement also signed by retailer; together with a 14ct gold cased Swiss half hunter key wind fob watch, early 20th century. (2)* Condition: 9ct: Case lacks inner glass. Winds and runs. Dial good with no hairlines. Case good, with small tool marks around thumbpiece from opening. Fob watch: Lacks inner glass. Winds and runs very briefly and erratically. Requires cleaning and possibly further work. Case has some losses from enamel and a few small dings to front. With key.
An 18th century mahogany eight day longcase clock by William Flint of Charing, Kent, the twin train movement striking on a bell, the arched brass dial signed to the roundel 'Willm. Flint Charing' (1733-1793), the matted gold dial with chamfered date aperture at six and silvered subsidiary seconds dial at twelve, pierced gilt hands, brass Roman numeral chapter ring with foliate scroll spandrels, the strung mahogany case with barbed arched top with barleytwist columns, over a trunk with canted corners, raised on bracket feet, 82¼in. (209cm.) high.
