162003 Honda S2000Reg. no. WP53 YGAChassis no. JHMAP11304T200291Engine no. F20C21040280Transmission: ManualMileage: 36,846MOT: June 2024Honda’s sports convertible burst on the scene in 1999 to rival the likes of the Mazda MX5 and Audi TT, sporting a 2-litre naturally aspirated VTEC engine that produced 250bhp. Mated to a lovely 6-speed manual gearbox and offering a 50/50 weight balance, it offered fantastic handling and performance. This example in Silverstone Metallic Silver, is one of the last of the AP1 first generation, registered in January of 2004. It has had just one Wiltshire owner since new who used the Honda as a weekend toy, so it has been rarely used. At just 36,000 miles from new, this car is offered with full-service history. The overall condition of the car is really good and it just suffers from some minor paint imperfections including some sun damage to the passenger front wing. It has had a recent new soft top and is sold with a fresh MOT. These sports cars stand far above other cars in their class of the same generation offering better performance and usability. The car is offered with a current V5C document, full-service history, Honda handbooks and even includes its original radio, tool kit and Honda S2000 Pen. A fantastic, low mileage example of an appreciating modern classic from one of the world’s most reliable manufacturers.Estimate: £10,000 - 12,000To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on July 1st at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU with viewing on the 29th and 30th of June, you can also join us at our Nostalgia Social cars & coffee event on June 25th. 1956 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Long Wheel Base Limousine by Parkward & Co, London made for H.M. Ambassador in Khartoum and latterly owned H.H. Sheikh Al-Ahmad Al Jaber Al- Sabah the former Prime Minister of Kuwait. Registration 833 XVX, Chassis ELW78. Six-cylinder 4.9 litre straight six engine with automatic transmission, power steering and servo-assisted brakes. This rare coach-built limousine has its original cream over light brown colour scheme with tinted windows and white wall tyres designed to reflect the intense heat of the Sudanese sun which would have boiled the occupants of the more usual black Government cars. It has many special features including two roof-mounted electric fans with leather blades ( for safety), a cocktail cabinet, a wireless mounted in a cabinet, jump seats, reading lights, and an electric division. After being used by Sir Edwin Chapman-Andrews KCMG, OBE (1903-1980) the British Ambassador in the Sudan it eventually made its way to America and thence returned to the Far-East when it was bought by the Sheikh and former Prime Minister of Kuwait for his famously large car collection where it resided in the underground car park under his Palace. Late last year it came back to these shores when our vendor purchased it, UK registered it and re-commissioned it for the road. It is a car of huge presence and of the very highest quality. The paintwork is mellow in areas but very presentable whilst the interior is generally in excellent condition with brown hide to the front and cream hide to the rear. The beautiful veneered cabinet work is a joy to behold and the car now drives very well. A full list of the re-commissioning is available to view. The indicated mileage is approx 12,623 (probably 112,623) miles. It is sold with V5, copies of original build sheets, various research and related documents. (Subject to 12% buyers premium inclusive of VAT).Good original condition, paintwork is presentable but has some crazing particualy to the wings, some splits and loose areas . The coachwork seems structuraly good with no dropping to the doors which close with a satisfying clunk. The interior is in very good original condition and has many special feature specified on the build sheets which are still present, ie fans, radio, cocktail cabinet etc.Mechanically the car drives well with a smooth gear change and generally quiet engine. It has recently been re- commisioned and the list of work has now been added to the images on our website.

Moon-to-Earth radio transmission: "Pete Conrad: 'Okay. I'm looking for...I'm dying to find out what this mound is over here anyhow,' Al. (Pause) 'We got a very peculiar mound sticking up out of the ground, Houston. I want to go look at it. As a matter of fact, I think I'll go take a picture of it. '[...] Conrad: 'It's the world's most peculiar...I got to photograph this thing. I can't imagine what it is. The mound's sticking up; and I can't imagine how it got there or what would make it. Lot 73

An oblique view of the lunar surface and horizon from the first panorama transmitted by the first robotic probe to soft land on the Moon, Soviet Luna 9 Luna 9, 2 February 1966 Vintage gelatin silver print on fibre-based paper, 23 x 18 cm (8 x 7 in), an AP cablephoto print with the AP press caption attached to the verso (dated 5 February 1966) Footnotes: Luna 9 was the first robotic spacecraft to successfully soft land on the Moon in 1966. It preceded the US Surveyor 1 by around 4 months. After touchdown a television camera erected from the probe and the system began a photographic survey of the lunar environment. Seven radio sessions with a total of 8 hours and 5 minutes were transmitted, as well as three series of TV pictures. After assembly the photographs gave a panoramic view of the immediate lunar surface. Although the pictures of the Moon were initially not released by Soviet authorities, their signal format was found to be similar to the Radiofax signal universally used by newspapers to transmit pictures. Thus, Jodrell Bank Observatory near Manchester was able to instantly intercept, decode and publish Luna 9's first photographs from the Moon's surface.Condition Report: Very goodCondition Report Disclaimer
