A 1989 Porsche 944 S2 3.0 16V, registration number F873 NVE, gloss black, Category C insurance loss. Our vendor, a well-known classic car show and tour organiser, purchased the Porsche in October 2012. He has always maintained the 944 to an exemplary standard with receipts from marque specialists for thousands of pounds during his ownership including a cambelt, balance shaft and associated service in August 2016 by Marque 21 at a cost of £1,774.27 and repairs to the bottoms of both front wings and corresponding respray of the front end. Finished in gloss black with a contrasting dark brown pinstripe velour sports interior, this 944 is fitted with climate control, electric tilt and removable sun roof, electric windows and seats, central locking, immobiliser and Blaupunkt Calgary premium stereo radio CD. Further noteworthy fitments include 16 inch D90 staggered alloy wheels with recently fitted Uniroyal Rainsport tyres. The vendor has emphasised that the Category C insurance claim was caused by a small engine bay loom fire in 2006. There was not any structural or body damage. The owner at the time purchased the Porsche from the insurance company and had a new factory engine bay loom installed by PHS Sports Cars Ltd of Derby. The car was then inspected by VOSA and a certificate of Roadworthiness was issued, which is presented in the history file. The Porsche is offered for auction with a history file and owner's handbooks. The vendor describes the 944 as a fantastic car to drive which handles like a dream and has performed with complete reliability on both UK and overseas tours. V5C, MOT to October 2017 See illustrations
